The McKenzie Trail Recreation Area Picnic Shelter has a playground, walking trails, well water NOT suitable to drink and open fire pits. Firewood is not provided. No canoeing in lakes, but there is a canoe launch to the river. Washrooms are open year-round. Facility rentals are open seasonally from Saturday of May Long weekend to Thanksgiving Monday in October. Shelter can seat approximately 20 people. Adjacent picnic tables and grass area beside the picnic shelter are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Pets and alcohol are prohibited. All parks within the City shall be closed to public gatherings from 11 PM to 7 AM.
